Pictures of the gold mine June 4, 1959

This was the road leading to the mine. All people who had claim in the mine were required to do work on the road. The mine cabin is just to the right of the road.














This is the cabin at the mine. Every gold mine claim had a name. If I recall, ours was called "The Golden Rod". I could be wrong---it's only been 50 years!!














This is a view of the cabin looking down from the bunkhouse where the cars and trucks parked. If you look close, the small black building is the outhouse. Yup, everyone had outhouses in the desert.
